Assessment of nursing practice hours
Registered Nurses are required to maintain currency of professional knowledge and skill to assist in meeting registration renewal requirements. Practicing for a minimum of 1,125 hours in the preceding five years or 450 hours in the preceding year is one method used to determine a nurse’s currency of practice.
For details about assessment of nursing practice hours see the Recognition of Nursing Practice Hours Policy.
