Special registration
Special Registration applies to a Registered Nurse coming to PEI for a short period for a special purpose (not for staffing requirements) and is registered in another Canadian province or territory as their home jurisdiction. You will need verification from all jurisdictions where you are registered currently and have been registered previously. This process can take 6-12 weeks depending on the jurisdiction and affect the processing time to complete your application. A special class registration entitles the registrant to work for 30 consecutive days. No more than three (3) special class registrations may be issued in any registration year per registrant.
