ECHO Coping with COVID

ECHO Coping with COVID program is now available across Canada! This free program is intended for Canadian healthcare providers and residents responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal is to promote resilience, connection, and wellness at a time that many are experiencing isolation, burnout, and stress. We currently have 30-50 participants joining each ECHO session and hope to engage many more in this community.

How does it work?

Providers register for ECHO Coping with COVID using the link below. Once registered, providers will receive a zoom link to join the session. During the hour long session, there will be a short moment of mindfulness, a didactic presentation, and an open discussion.  Participants can register for the program and drop in to the sessions that work for them – there is no commitment. We understand things are busy right now and are open to whatever you find feasible!

When does it run?

Sessions run twice per week, Wednesdays 12:30-1:30pm EST, and Fridays 2-3pm EST.

The program explores one topic per week, but session discussions will vary.

Providers are welcome to join one or both, based on availability and needs.

What topics will be covered?

We adjust the curriculum on an ongoing basis to meet the needs identified by providers. Here are some examples of what is anticipated:

  • Updates on COVID-19 and Mental Health
  • Stigma Related to COVID-19
  • Virtual Self-Care during COVID-19
  • Compassion Fatigue and Burnout
  • Cultural Humility and Sensitivity
  • Managing Anxiety Related to COVID-19
